Race pack collection desk opens 4.30 pm
Junior Run warm-up 5.00 pm
Junior Run start 5.15 pm
Race pack collection desk closes for run 1 5.45 pm
Warm-up for 5k Challenge - run 1 5.50 pm
5k Challenge start - run 1 6.00 pm
Prizegiving for 5k Challenge - run 1 7.10 pm
Race pack collection desk closes for run 2 7.15 pm
Warm-up for 5k Challenge - run 2 7.20 pm
5k Challenge start- run 2 7.30 pm
Prizegiving for 5k Challenge - run 2 8.40 pm

Participants are encouraged to bring family and friends to make a social evening out of it.  There will be music and Jog Scotty to entertain you and we have put in a request to ensure the sun shines (at least a little bit!)

Race packs must be collected on the night of the event from the Collection Desk at Glasgow Green. The race pack will contain your running number, timing chip, ties to attach the chip to your shoe, baggage label and 4 safety pins. Please arrive early to allow us to start the event on time.

Travelling Directions:

Glasgow Green is easy to get to by foot and by public transport; it is around 1 mile from both Glasgow Queen Street and Central stations. By Subway you should get off at St Enoch, which is about a 15 – 20 minute walk. Various bus routes operate around Glasgow Green, check www.firstgroup.com/glasgow for details. We advise that you do not drive to Glasgow Green, but, if you do, please car-share where possible. There is on-street parking in the area around Glasgow Green.

If using Sat Nav or online mapping services, such as Google Maps, to get to Glasgow Green you should enter the postcode G40 1AT to obtain directions.

The Event Village and the Start & Finish areas are situated between Nelson’s Monument and the People’s Palace/Winter Gardens.

The route:

The course will be clearly marked with marshals and signs. It’s a beautiful course but please do look at the map so you are familiar with the route. Please be courteous to other runners. On part of the route alongside the river runners will be going in both directions, please ensure that you keep to the left of the cones at this point.

Other information:

  • Portable toilets will be located at the start and finish area
  • There are no onsite changing facilities so please come ready to run
  • There will be a secure baggage area for personal belongings
  • First Aid will be on hand if needed
