BHF Winter Warmers return for a third year

The 5K and 10K events in Glasgow and Edinburgh will take place next month, giving the opportunity to donate to a great cause while keeping yourself moving through the autumn.
The Glasgow event is on Sunday 14 October in Pollok Country Park, with the Edinburgh event a week later on Sunday 21 October in Holyrood Park around Arthur’s Seat. Participants on either course will complete one loop to finish 5k or two loops to complete 10k and they can run, jog or walk.
Event organiser Gizem Fowler said: “The Winter Warmers really are for anyone of any ability. The events are chip-timed, so serious runners can race for that all important personal best. For beginners, the chip-timing is a chance to benchmark or measure your progress. And for families, both Arthur’s Seat in Edinburgh and Glasgow’s Pollok Country Park are great places to enjoy a scenic morning out.
“The entry fee is just £15, which helps cover the costs associated with organising a professional and safe event. And all we ask is that each participant raises sponsorship so that BHF Scotland can continue its life-saving work across Scotland.”
