TV's Alison Walker to present jogscotland awards

13 / 09 / 2012

The broadcaster will be the host at this year's scottishathletics and jogscotland Annual Awards Dinner.

Alison will be our guest of honour at the Marriott Hotel, Glasgow on 27th October as we celebrate the greatest achievements of our joggers, Jog Leaders and groups.

A highly-experienced and well-respected presenter and reporter, Alison spent almost 20 years in television and radio with the BBC before going freelance. She was the first woman to break into the traditionally male domain of football reporting on matches live. Since then, Alison has covered sports from shinty to curling to rugby, boxing, golf and athletics. She has worked on three Olympic Games and three Commonwealth Games. She also presented the sports news on BBC Scotland’s reporting Scotland for eight years. You can hear her regularly on BBC Five Live and BBC Scotland, as well as Sky Sports News.
