BAXTERS LOCH NESS MARATHON AND FESTIVAL OF RUNNING
01 / 08 / 2012
The Loch Ness Festival of Running, which includes 5K and 10K distances, is still open for entries, and charity and club runner places are still available for the full marathon.
Although the deadline for guaranteed entry to the marathon on September 30th has passed, but you have until September 10th to sign up for the festival’s other distances, or to try for a charity or club place in the marathon.
Race Director Malcolm Sutherland said: “Although the deadline for guaranteed entry into this year’s Loch Ness Marathon has passed, the good news is that charity, club and overseas runners still have until 10th September to enter.
“As we see more and more people challenge themselves to run a marathon, raising money for a chosen charity gives them added motivation and focus, plus the knowledge that they are helping others. Runners at last year’s event raised an amazing £1,092,076 for charity, and we hope that this year we will exceed that amount.”
Even preschoolers can get involved: As well as the 10K, 5K and corporate 10K events, the Festival of Running also includes a specially-devised 400m Wee Nessie event for the under 5s!
