Sign up for the third annual LP Run
31 / 07 / 2012
This quirky event is taking place again at Meadowbank on August 19th - complete with cake competition!
The LP run challenges participants to complete as many RPM (laps!) of the Meadowbank track as they can during 33 and a third minutes, while listening to tunes from the 60s, 70s and 80s.
Money raised will go to Cruse Bereavement Care South East Scotland.
The event, organised by Edinburgh Running Network is based on the LP run held in Houston Texas, which is now in its 45th year. The Edinburgh version has a twist, however - there will also be a cake competition! Bring along your best baking, and the cakes will be judged as the race is run, with prizes for tastiest cake, best dressed cake and best traybake. And of course when the running is over, you can all tuck in.
Entry is £10/£12 and when you sign up you can suggest your favourite running track from the 60s, 70s and 80s to accompany you on your run.
You can sign up on this Entry Central page and read more about the event at the Edinburgh Running Network website.
