09 / 07 / 2012
If you fancy a challenge and a pair of muddy trainers, this event could be for you - with all proceeds going to a good cause.
The Cairngorm Runners jogscotland group has teamed up with the community project Explore Abernethy to hold a 12k multi-terrain race on Sunday 15th July.
The race is along the Speyside Way, half on road and half on trails. Money raised will go to Explore Abernethy, a community project in Nethy Bridge, maintaining 45km of waymarked trails, running a visitor centre and ranger service.
Runners are encouraged to enter before race day, but entries will be accepted on the day as long as the 250-participant limit is not reached. Entry is £16, or £14 for Scottish Athletics members. All entered runners need to register on the day, between 8.30am and 9.30am at the Nethy Bridge Community Hall. Race brief is at 9.45am and the race starts at 10am sharp.
