joggers on a lovely summer’s night in the city for the Nuffield Health jogscotland 5k Challenge. Belonged to 300 or more, in fact, as the Series moved to Scotland’s biggest city following previous stops in Aberdeen, Inverness and Peebles.

Kieran Docherty was first home on a winding and scenic course around Glasgow Green and alongside the River Clyde with the winning timeof 16.25. Lesley Chisholm of Garscube Harriers was the first woman home in 17.40. But it really wasn’t about the fast guys on an evening when there were plenty of spot prizes for participants including ‘man with baby’ and ‘Tommy the clown’

Adding to the atmosphere on the night were stalls for Nuffield Health, Chest, Heart & Stroke Scotland and our retail partners, Run 4 It, as well as the background music. The many teams taking part included Media Scotland, Nuffield Health, Team macb, and, of course, The Jammys. The Jammyshave vowed to take part in all our Challenges this month to raise money for Simpson’s Special Care Bay Unit.
