The jogscotland 5k challenge series is back for 2012 – and this year jogscotland is proud to be working in partnership with the UK’s largest healthcare charity, Nuffield Health. Making the decision to commit to a more active lifestyle is an important step towards getting healthy, and staying healthy and that’s where the Nuffield Health jogscotland 5k Challenges come in.

The third venue of the series this year will take place on the evening of Tuesday 19^th June at The Gytes in Peebles and it’s the perfect opportunity to stretch your legs and wind down after work with your colleagues. This year there will be  live entertainment with:

Wildcard

Wildcard are a 5 piece band from Ayrshire. The band has been together for about 6 years now but has had various line-up changes since they started. The band are all experienced musicians and have been in various bands throughout the years. The band were approached a few weeks ago by a new charity that has been set up to help the families of people who have died in tragic circumstances or accidents to write, record and release a song for them. The single is now written and it is just about to be recorded, Mark (the lead guitarist) and lead singer Tracy have written it, and the charity is called the Our Beloved Angels Foundation.

Each event will be supported by the expert team from Nuffield Health, who will deliver a full warm-up before the run and offer physiotherapy and sports massage post run, as well as answering any health related queries you may have.

There’s also a chance for corporate glory! Enter your workplace team in one of the challenges for your chance to be crowned champions!

The 2012 challenge series will celebrate the 10^th anniversary of the jogscotland programme. As with any celebration, expect a party! So bring your friends, family work colleagues along and get ready to celebrate in your trainers!
