CHILDREN 1st
Last year over 2000 children were placed on the child protection register in Scotland. CHILDREN 1st runs over 40 services across Scotland where we support families under stress, protect children from harm and neglect, help them recover from abuse and promote children’s rights and interests.
Throughout Scotland our staff and volunteers use their skills to help children overcome the difficulties in their lives and rebuild trust and confidence.
Our work with children and families informs and influences all our policy and campaigns. Not only do we try to influence legislation, we also campaign to change attitudes towards children and to help create a better world for all children.
