Wednesday 18th June
The Tweed Run @ Dryburgh Abbey Hotel, 7pm
After last years major success the Co-operative jogscotland 5k Challenge is returning to the Borders and once again Dryburgh Abbey Hotel have kindly agree to help host this event.
The route starts and finishes outside the hotel. Its starts with a small loop around the beautiful paths of the hotel grounds then out into the surrounding area on a few of the quiet roads, including a small switch back to the Abbey then downhill to and over the foot bridge. This is followed by a small hill, a lap round round Tweed Horizons, back down the hill, over the footbrige and will end right in the front of Dryburgh Abbey Hotel. There route will be well marked and sign posted and marshalls will be there to help and encourage you along the way.
There will be food and drink available to buy afterwards at the hotel and participants are encouraged to bring family and friends to make a social evening out of it. There will be music, as well as a resident local piper, a clown and Jog Scotty there to entertain all the kids (and the most of the adults!)
Toilet facilities will be located inside the hotel.
Please arrange to come ready to run as there is no changing area. There will however be a secure baggage tent area so please bring warm clothes to change into after the run as it may get quite cold later on in the evening.
