See you again next year!

Held midweek, on summer evenings during June, the jogscotland 5k challenges are events that the whole family and community can enjoy.

The jogscotland 5k challenge series can be used to go for a P.B, as a training run or just for fun! The main thing is being active and enjoying yourself while out in the fresh air!

Junior Fun Runs
Junior runs (for under 11 years) will be held at all venues before the main 5k challenges, so bring your little ones along and help us get Scottish kids more active! For the first time this year, 11 year olds can enter the 5k challenge.

jogscotland junior fun run Dundee - Wednesday 14 September, 6.15pm - enter here.

The Junior Fun Runs are self timed events, a race clock will be visible at the finish or participants can record their own times. All finishers will receive a goody bag, medal and a bottle of water. No prizes are awarded for finishing positions, everyone is a winner in our book!

Last year’s events were filled with fun, laughter and even sunshine! But don’t take our word for it…

Carrie Anderson, part of Team Xxodus from the Xodus Group in Aberdeen, said: “It was a great run and a great atmosphere. We entered as a team in preparation for the BG Energy Challenge and thought this was an excellent opportunity to test ourselves. We all had a really enjoyable run.”

Carl Rogers, took part in the Borders jogscotland 5k challenge, he said: “It’s fabulous. I turned up as a hotel guest, and decided to take part. You really couldn’t pick a better location or weather.”

Scott Ferguson, Jog Leader at Meadowmill brought his jogscotland group along to the Edinburgh event and they had a great night. He said: “It’s a wonderful event and quite humbling when you see so many different people of all ages taking on the challenge of a 5k.”

Suzanne Mattison, who runs with the jogscotland group at the Run 4 It store in Inverness, took on the Inverness jogscotland 5k challenge, she said: “I loved the course along the beautiful River Ness and I’ll definitely sign up again next year, even though I’ll be aiming for 10k races by then!”
