Alistair is responsible for the management of the jogscotland?team, development and management of strategic partnerships with funding partners and sponsors, development of new programme areas. (Also known to make the tea and coffee on occasion and offer words of wisdom to the young 'uns in the team).

In a former life Alistair used to be able to run pretty fast, he still holds a number of Scottish records including the U-17 Scottish Schools 1500m record set in 1981, Scottish Native Indoor 3000m record set in 1989. He also ran a sub-4 minute mile, aged 20, in 1985 when finishing just over a second behind Olympic Champion Seb Coe.
